Before your countertop is fabricated, you should confirm the final measurements, cabinet positions, sink and cooktop specifications, backsplash dimensions, countertop overhangs, exposed ends, seams, and edge profile. These details need to be correct before a quartz, granite, marble, or quartzite slab is cut.
Countertop fabrication is different from making changes to a kitchen design on paper. Once the slab is cut to the approved measurements and specifications, correcting an error can be difficult and may require additional fabrication or new material.
At Factory Direct Cabinets & Granite, we want homeowners, contractors, remodelers, and installers to understand what information should be finalised before countertop fabrication begins. Checking these details early can help prevent problems when the finished countertop reaches the jobsite.
